Russia’s Evgeny Dremin and Ivan Sozonov displayed a staggering performance when they toppled Denmark’s Hans Kristian Vittinghus and Sweden’s Mattias Borg in the final Men’s Doubles competition of European Club Championships 2012 in Hungary, on Saturday,
June 2.
The in-form Russians Dremin and Sozonov showed their remarkable skills in the court when they put up a gutsy performance and managed to win the battle with a sensational margin on the score board.
The impressive Dremin and Sozonov showed their wonderful performance in the court and managed to overwhelm their confused opponents without dropping even a single set.
On the other hand, Vittinghus and Borg could not live up to expectations as they failed to play dominating badminton throughout the competitions and lost is in a one-sided manner to their Russian rivals in just 26 minutes.
In the first game, Dremin and Sozonov did not waste any time and easily grabbed as early lead over their opponents while remaining positive in the court.
The Russians were in commanding position in the court and they took an impressive lead on the score board over their rivals until the one-minute break.
After the interval, Dremin and Sozonov continued their dominating and flawless run in the court. They remained in commanding position as their rivals played quivering badminton.
Dremin and Sozonov progressed easily while remaining confidence in the court and won the opening set with a 21-11 score on the board.
In the following set, Dremin and Sozonov became even better as they kept the pace at the highest level from the opening points and took a tremendous lead over their confused opponents until the one-minute interval.
After the break, Dremin and Sozonov did not show any sign of nervousness as they were miles ahead of their opponents on the board.
Vittinghus and Borg were completely helpless against the staggering performance of their spirited Russian opponents.
Dremin and Sozonov remained on course and easily clinched the second game with a stunning difference of 21-9.
The in-form Russians ended up this lopsided Men’s Doubles clash in just 26 minutes with a phenomenal 21-11 and 21-9 margin on the score board.
