I couldn't find a good title for this but, You know how everyone says " I saw a shadow run by the hallway"

Or like this one "I have a bad feeling here lets leave"

What gives us these emotions? Is it ourselfs just getting scared over nothing?

Or if you walk in a dark Basement alone you feel "Frozen in fear" But why does this happen?

Kind of hard to explain but im sure we have all felt the frozen fear before lol..

Or like when your afraid to pray at night? Idk i get these scary feelings alot and whem im alone. I don't understand it.

Thanks (** ALL ANSWERS WELCOME **)

  1. From a scientific perspective fear is not only normal but necessary for the survival of all animal forms. In humans it helps getting out of dangerous situations as much as it helps you avoid getting into situations that you might not be capable of handling. Being "frozen in fear" is something you might recognize as "playing dead" in other animals, a last resource for avoiding danger.

Now, you seem to be asking specifically about fear of things we do not see or otherwise perceive, fear of the immaterial or not necessarily real. You will have to chose one out of two possible answers: you either have some "sixth sense" that warns you of dangers that your other five senses do not sense or consider the possibility that having such an amazing imagination has its draw backs for human beings, since you are actually afraid of nothing else than your own imagination.
