Evita! I saw a production of Evita recently. When the Generals are singing the Art of the Possible they ?

were walking around and sitting in an ever-decreasing number of chairs until only one chair and Juan Peron were. left. In other words they were playing Musical Chairs. It was brilliant. My question: was the scene written this way in the script of was this a bit of directorial genius?

I've never seen the show but i've seen the movie so mant times that i know every line.

They didnt do that in the movie so it very possibly could be the director being brilliant!
