Evite.com?

Question

I'm newly engaged and having an engagement party when my fiance comes back from Iraq in August. Has anyone used evite.com to plan an event? We're looking to do a bbq/potluck, so we'd like to have people bring things, and I know you can track it on there? Thanks for sharing your experience/opinions!

Yes, its great!

All you do is enter the Emails of who you want to invite.

It keeps track of all the responses for you, sends guests a reminder to RSVP, sends you a final count a few days before your event.... There is even an option to have guests bring something, like you suggested.

I think you'll like it & find it very easy to use!

We have used it for several byob's and get togethers its very easyt to use and to track. Congradulations and have a blast.

I've been using it for years.  You can be as creative as you like with the invite, keep an address book for your invitations, track RSVPs, invite  people to bring items which is great for a potluck.  It's really great and easy to use.  I recommend it.

I am a huge fan of evite. It is user friendly, and there are a lot of cool funky designs that you can use for your invite. It also allows you to see who has viewed your invitation and when, so people do not have an excuse for not RSVPing. There is also a feature where you can send a thank you card to your guests right away before you send out the formal thank you cards.
