Hello,

I am debating whether I should get the GSR or the MR. Well the MR has up to six speeds but that twin clutch just bothers me, in the long run which one would be better overall?

Thanks.

  1. Well, the mr does not come with radio, ac, and it dosent even have power windows. If you like a race car, I recommend the mr. If you are going to drive the thing everyday, gsr is better. Seems you have the cash for it, If you get a mr, I suggest you also buy a daily car with the comfort things you use everyday.

  2. If you're like me and enjoy "conventional" manual transmissions, I'd personally go with the GSR.  I know I would have more fun driving a conventional (clutch pedal and stick shift) manual than driving a twin clutch manual.

It's more fun to me to shift myself and manage the clutch and revs while downshifting etc., than just mashing the throttle and shifting with paddles while relying on a computer to match the RPMs and shift for me etc.

From a long term cost standpoint, it might also end up being quite a bit cheaper to buy the GSR with the conventional manual because the twin-clutch transmission in the MR is a very new technology and it may prove to have weak points over time that break and cost $$$ to fix.  The conventional manual is already proven and will last for a very long time as long as you know how to drive it (and it sounds like you do).

  3. in the long run, the GSR will save you much more money because it has higher mpg than the MR because the MR's huge turbo drinks gas like crazy, but if you cant decide you can always go for the ralliart, its also turboed just a smaller one compared to the MR but it does have better mileage than the MR not much but still better.

  4. Evo 9 is faster.
