Question:

Evolution -- Why the gaps?

If you take an honest look at the fossil record, the continuity between species is simply not there. We have hundreds and thousands of fossils of various fish, dinosaurs, mammals, and birds, but only a handful of purported animals that allegedly show some sort of "transition" between species. If evolution is true, shouldn't there be as many of these transition animals (since they would have to be around just as long as a "standard" animal)?

  1. There are plenty of transitional form, fossil and otherwise.  The only ones you are aware of are the ones you see on TV.  There are least 30 known transitional bird/reptile examples.  You just need to explore the world a little more.

    Evolution is indeed true.

  2. OH SURE! Make sense of it right off the bat...how can we have a meaningful debate if you're gonna start out that way....(ssssshhh!)don't mention g-a-p-s....they hate that!

  3. Fossilization is a rare event. No one can reasonably expect to have fossils of every creature that ever lived. Even if we did, creationists would find some lame excuse to try to deny evolution exists. You should read some SCIENCE and stop only reading creationist propoganda. I used to check out from the library 2 books on creationism and 2 on evolution. after comparing them, I would get 2 more pairs of such books. I sincerely want to know the truth. If you want to know the truth, you should copy my technique.

  4. There should be, of course, but there isn't.  All the hoopla about finding ONE such fossil (which could have other explanations) still doesn't account for why there is only one as compared to all the others out there.
