    Answer please =)

  2. Less egotism, or there will only be a remnant left.

  3. Personally I dont think the human race will live that long...Just my opinion

  4. Brain dead, and, microchipped. You upset 'Big Brother', one 'click', and, you are yesterday's news.

  5. Evolution has stopped for the human race.  Think about it.  What is the mechanism for evolution?  It's survival of the fittest.  Those that have the strongest genes will survive nature's harshness long enough to breed.  This will ensure that only the best suited genes for a given environment go into the gene pool of a species.

Is this the case for man?

    No.

We have the miracle of modern medicine to keep the genetically weak alive to grow up and breed.  The longer this goes on the more polluted the gene pool gets with genes that will make us more vulnerable to genetic diseases.  On top of that people are giving birth later in life.  The longer you wait to have children the more the chances are that there will be genetic errors.

If nothing changes and we continue as we are today, in 1000 years there will be a lot more birth defects, autism, retardation, near sightedness, cancer, etc. This will cause health care prices to skyrocket.  It will become unaffordable to the most people.  The world will become poorer and sicker and life will be very difficult.

The only way out is to not let bad genes into the gene pool, meaning some how deciding who can and cannot breed, which would NOT be popular, or use genetic engineering to help correct bad genes or choose good genes to make a baby with.

About a year ago I was living in NY and I had a neighbor who had her retarded adult son living with her.  Her son was married to retarded woman.  They were trying to have a baby.

    Good times.

  6. since i dont believe in evolution, im gonna have to say that we will stay about the same.  there may be slight differences, but when you look at people from about 1000 years ago we may just be slightly taller.  humans may continue to grow taller, but i think that this is due to better nutrition.  people living in impoverished conditions are not as tall as people in wealthier states.

  7. A thousand years has allowed a little evolution to occur.  Most of the changes that have occurred are down to medicine and diet.

So the next thousand may see some reversal to the beautiful people as their make-up and medicines disappear as the oil runs out.  This may lead to a reversal as the stockier person becomes more prevalent simply due to the amount of work that will be done by hand.

  8. We'll be about the same.  The evolutionary process in humans will take a lot longer than 1000 years for any significant change.  Do you think that you are significantly different biologically than people living in European civilizations a thousand years ago? Guess what?  You're not.

  9. We have only seen make-believe theories were they think we came from, there is no evolving man except in knowledge over his in tire history, and some are learning science falsely.

  10. I wouldn't expect that much change. If you look at the human race 1000 years ago, we're not that far off from the knights and  peasants. physiologically, the only thing different is our life expectancy which has lengthened because of advances in medicine. people 1000 years from now may have different sets of skills based on their lifestyles (like my kids took on to game consoles and computers as second nature) but in a sense, we are better with electronics today, but the knights were better at jousting then.

Although, I do feel that some of us deserve to devolve into pond scum. but that's just me.

  11. taller and skinny than we are now.  due to lack of food and transport.

  12. There will only be change, as we learn by our mistakes. There is no such stuff as Evolution as in species changing theories. Anthropologists can't even tell us what we were before we were human, as there is nothing in the earths crust to teach us, after around 200 years of digging.

PS. Before you all start thumbing down  lets have your arguements against.

  13. Actually (in response to some of your answers here), micro evolution has been proven to be a scientific fact.  Whereas, the larger scaled evolution from apes is still a theory.  I mention this because 1000 years would only be micro-evolution.

There wouldn't be much change.  As someone said, we are a lot like our mideval ancestors in many ways.  I have read quite a bit on some things that may disappear in that time in addition to the life expectancy though.  As a population, we are beginning to lose our wisdom teeth.  Many of us have to have them taken out for various reason, and others don't get them at all.  Some variations in eye color are slowly disappearing.

I personally think that the physical variation in races will be more blurred over time due to intermarriages.  That is, if our world continues to be a smaller place for all of that time.
