Ewa Scieszko, Diana Sokolowska win vital meets in Polish Long Course Nationals – Swimming news
Ewa Scieszko clinched the women’s 50m breaststroke title with a sterling time of 32.44 in the 2011 Polish Long Course Nationals at Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski in Poland.
Meanwhile, Agnieszka Ostrowska claimed silver with a winning time of 32.96 and Monika Czerniak snared bronze with a time of 33.12 in the following meet.
On the other hand, Dawid Szulich clinched the men’s 50m breaststroke title with a time of 28.20, while Przemyslaw Gorczyca wound up second in a time of 28.36 and Filip Wypych rounded out the top three with 28.77.
Diana Sokolowska took home the women’s 200m freestyle title with the fastest time of 2:02.11. Aleksandra Bernat came second with a time of 2:04.41, whereas Paula Zukowska settled third in a time of 2:04.89.
Mateusz Slawinski picked up the top seed in men’s 200m freestyle final with a sterling time of 1:50.56. Michael Poprawa captured silver with a time of 1:51.28, while Radoslaw Bor finished bronze in time of 1:51.77. Slawinski captured the attention of the
crowd due to his most stunning and versatile performance in the 200m freestyle final.
Pawel Korzeniowski topped the men’s 400m Individual Medley race with a time of 4:16.52 and jumped to the 15th place in the world rankings. On the other side, Marcin Cieslak took silver with a time of 4:24.91 and Mateusz Kierzkowski settled for
bronze with a time of 4:26.49.
Alicja Tchorz snagged the women’s 100m backstroke title with a time of 1:01.97, while Aleksandra Putra captured silver with a time of 1:02.03 and Klaudia Nazieblo finished third in time of 1:02.90.
Meanwhile, the men’s 100m backstroke title was taken over by Marcin Tarczynski with a winning time of 54.82.
Radoslaw Kawecki rounded out the top two seed in 54.91 and Krzysztof Jankiewicz wound up third in time of 56.22. Tarczynski was very pleased due to his thrilling and captivating performance in the 100m backstroke final at Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski.
Karolina Urbanska nabbed the women’s 400 IM crown with a matchless time of 4:52.55, while Paulina Sikora came second with a time of 4:53.20 and Katarzyna Staszkiewicz earned third place honours with a time of 4:56.52 in the following meet.
The women’s 400m free relay title was clinched by Otylia Jedrzejczak, Katarzyna Ptasinska, Joanna Golebiowska and Karolina Szczepaniak with a winning time of 3:52.27, while the men’s 400m free relay title went to Radoslaw Bor, Jakub Jasinski, Adam Plutecki
and Radoslaw Kawecki with the fastest time of 3:24.75.
