Eww! My fish died in my coffee! was it my fault??

Question

I didn't drink it i saw her when i took it out of the microwave but this is what happened my mom was cleaning luna's bowl and she put her in a mug! I thought that was the mug my mom took out for coffee! i took the coffee poured in and it was pretty cold so i put it in the microwave when i took it out i saw my little luna dead! Was that my fault??!! And i miss my little fishy!

On the one hand it was a mistake, and mistakes happen. My fish once jumped out of his bowl and I stepped on him when I was walking over to the tank. I felt SO bad, but he was already dead. However, when you were pouring your coffee did you not notice the fish inside the cup? Did you not stir the coffee into the water and notice the fish swimming around? You didn't check if there was water already in the cup?  It seems as though this could have been avoided.

It was a mistake, mistakes happen to everyone. You had no idea that the fish was in there. Dont beat yourself up over it. It was her time, unfortunetly.

aww hunny im sorry for you little loss but go to the pet store and buy a new fishie i think luna has forgiven you because your mum put her in a mug and you didnt know but next time put your new fish in a clear jug or large bowl

did you not notice that there was a fish and water in the mug before you poured in the coffee? and then when you were pouring, did you not notice that the cup filled up way before you had added very much coffee? (assuming there was even a little bit of water in the cup) and better yet, if it's your fish, why is your mom cleaning the tank? i'm sorry about Luna, but be more careful next time...

i dont really think its your fault but you shuld have looked in the mug!!!!

maybe you should buy a container to put your fish in when your mom cleans out the bowl..

i would suggest you clean the bowl yourself so you where everything is including your fishy
