Ex, bro, money equals weird dream... what does it mean?

I'm a female in my early twenties and work for a national bank, just to get an slight idea of who I am.

I dreamt last night that I met up with an ex to talk about the money I owed him right now. We ended up meeting at a coffee place and sat outside at a bistro table.

I went there with my best friend, who is a guy. I met my ex there, and he was sitting with his brother of whom I met on a couple of occassions. They got upset because I was taking too long to pay and we argued. My friend let me talk for myself, while I debated with the two. Then they told me his brother hasn't gotten any payments from me, but then I was like, I owe you (my ex) the money and I put $1000 on your visa already. A light bulb went off in their heads, and they starting thinking about how much more I owe. They did some calculations on a napkin, and came up almost $100 short of what I actually owe. I knew I owed more and felt confused, how can they not figure that out? And I woke up.

What does it mean?

  1. Just to be on the same level as you. I'm male, early twenties, and work at the local hardware store. With that said, let's analyze the dream.

First part of the dream about you owing him money. This is perfectly natural, dreams often remind us of stuff even if we're not under stress.

The coffee place is either somewhere you enjoy going or is a place you've went to more frequently when you were with your ex. However it's more of a courthouse than anything (you'll see why).

So the first question you should be asking is: why is his brother and my best friend in the dream. Well his brother is very close to him while your best friend is close to you. They're more like lawyers. Too bad there weren't any of your mothers (his or yours) at the place, then we'd have a fair trial (they'd be the judge).

From here it's just a regular court hearing. But why would you owe about $100 short? Either you think your ex is bad at math, or your boyfriend owes you money for something (that you can't remember) and that's where the $100 short comes into place.

What does this all mean? Don't go to court.

Sure you could probably owe $100 less (like what your dream hints at), but the cost of going to court isn't worth it.
