Question:

Ex Jehovah's Witnesses, what is your motive in exposing your former religion?

Is it to bash your former fellow believers and tear them away from "the only true religion"...... or are you trying to help them see the fallacies in this organization to spare them the dangers that are associated with it? ...or are you concerned for their salvation?......or are you angry that you were spiritually deceived by them yourself?

  1. Great job Worker4; you made my day complete from the morning.  I love the sense of humor!  Laughter kills the pain and sorrows.  I have deep respect for the ex-JW's; they still got a lot of love and humor.  Proof of the blessings in their life.  Off to work I go, see you all later.  Love, love, love is the way!

  2. I am not a JW nor exJW, and I am so happy to learn from those former members. I am so happy they are here

  3. Not to bash or to take them away from their faith

but to let them see the Truth they are not learning

and the things they are being deceived about.

To allow them to the opportunity to search their own faith and

perhaps realize in the process that we who have left

left for valid reasons for our own spiritual lifes and by this

awareness they to will have the opportunity to see True light

not the imitation light that they are following.

  4. You make a wrong statement by saying the jw's have 'the only true religion'...what a crock. I am an ex-catholic, and I tell people just how I see that church in hopes to open their eyes and get 'UNbrainwashed, like I was earlier in my life. There are many things wrong in that church and I am sure it's the same with the jw's..true religion my freaking butt..such nerve on your part or ignorance of the bible.

  5. I am not and shall never be an x-Jehovah's Witness.  Jehovah is the only true and Almighty God.

That doesn't necessarily make the church of the Watchtower true in itself does it?

    -------------

It could be either the true church, or not, and THAT is the question Bible students must, yes, MUST study the Bible so as to determine.

Always make sure for themselves with private Bible study, not only by the study of the Wt and verification by the Wt as is done now.  Any dissension now is met by disfellowshipment.

    ------------

I would like to assist all, including the ones whom you mention, to go by the Bible.

    ------------

    ------------

Unfortunately, in other churches of Christendom many do not examine by the Bible subjects such as the trinity, h**l fire, eternal torment, the eternal soul (when we are told that only at the last day shall the resurrection happen).  These, as the ones you mention, believe what their churches teach, not what the Bible teaches.

For the above mentioned group, the following subjects should be studied:

When does the Discreet Slave come into existence? who are they? why does the GB not listen to the remaining Saints in their midst, and the new light they find - if this truly is the ordained slave?

Why does the Bible say that the slave is given possession of all of Christ's things when obviously the DS of the Wt only can, if all truth be told, exercise authority over Christ's earthly things within the Wt! (Matthew 24:47 . . . He will appoint him over all his belongings. NWT)

Why does the Bible in Matt 26:28 and Acts 2:38 say that the new covenant is for forgiveness of sin and that baptism is for the same?  Does this and more not show that all baptized Christians get forgiveness because they are in the covenant of blood that brings forgiveness of sin by being baptized?

(Hebrews 10:29, Of how much more severe a punishment, do YOU think, will the man be counted worthy who has trampled upon the Son of God and who has esteemed as of ordinary value the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and who has outraged the spirit of undeserved kindness with contempt? NWT)

Why does the Bible say that Jesus received all authority on earth and in heaven upon being resurrected and also that he became king then in 33CE when the Wt says it happened in 1914?

Why is it easy to prove by the Bible that Satan still hasn't been ousted from heaven yet, when the Wt claims it happened in 1914?

If Christ did come in 1914 and the gentile times are finished, why aren't the gentile times finished then?

If Christ did come in 1914, why is this still being done?

(1 Corinthians 11:25 . . .Keep doing this, as often as YOU drink it, in remembrance of me.. . .)

There is so much that needs to be addressed; and as usual, most do not make sure on their own but serve men, are in fear of men and what they can do (DF) to us if we don't believe exactly what they tell us to.

Yes, persecute me for speaking the truth -- that was also foretold would happen to all who did so.  Thumb it down if I am lying but know this, God also looks and he judges us all, me included.

  6. If you are a Jehovah's Witness,

    please read this first.

If you are a Jehovah's Witness please understand that I am not against you as an individual. I am not an apostate from the Watchtower organization and, of course, I was never baptized as a Jehovah's Witness.  However, when I was 17, I studied with the Jehovah's Witnesses for a couple of months, but quit. Unfortunately, they used the Watchtower Magazine equally, and sometime more than the Bible and they couldn't answer all my questions.  All I wanted to study was the Bible since that is God's word.

As a Jehovah's Witness you have been taught from the Bible and the Watchtower organization. You’ve attended numerous meetings, and are convinced that what you believe is the truth. You also believe the Trinity is a demonic doctrine and that Christendom is an apostate group preaching a false gospel. Additionally, you are taught the Watchtower organization is the true channel of God’s revelation to His church on earth.  You are taught that you are in "The Truth."

But believing it does not make it so. I am sure you agree with this and respond by saying that your beliefs are in agreement with the Bible.  After all, you study it deeply and often and have validated your beliefs with the word of God. I don’t deny that you study. But when you study, you study under the Watchtower's guidance and allow it to shape your understanding and thinking of the Bible and its doctrines.

Please consider these quotes from the Watchtower Magazine that verify what I am saying:

"All who want to understand the Bible should appreciate that the "greatly diversified wisdom of God" can become known only through Jehovah's channel of communication, the faithful and discreet slave." (The Watchtower; 10/1/1994; p. 8.)

"Thus the Bible is an organizational book and belongs to the Christian congregation as an organization, not to individuals, regardless of how sincerely they may believe that they can interpret the Bible." The Watchtower, Oct. 1, 1967. p. 587.

In short, you are led by what the Watchtower says the Bible says.  But if the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society is from God, then...

Why has it made false prophecies?

Why has it altered the translation of the Bible?

Why does the Watchtower say you will fall into apostasy if you read the Bible without the Watchtower? See their quotes

Why are you not allowed to examine your own organization and its problems?

Why does it tell you what to think and do?

Have you checked the documentation from the Watchtower Magazine? How do you know that the Watchtower is correct? Because it says it is?

Please don’t be offended by this. But when a group claims to be the prophet of God, yet mistranslates the Bible, takes verses out of context, makes false prophecies, and misquotes authorities all to make its position valid, its credibility is lost. It cannot be from God.

But you will never know that unless you "examine ALL things." Unfortunately, as a Jehovah's Witness, you are only encouraged to study what the Watchtower and Awake magazines tell you to study.  That means you can't really check up on its false prophecies on your own.  Instead, you must trust what it tells you about its own false prophecies.  In addition, you are instructed to not take any literature from "apostate Christendom."  This way, you will have far less opportunity to be challenged, something the Watchtower organization doesn't want to happen.

The Watchtower Magazine teaches by asking the questions and giving the answers.  Sometimes it even uses a Bible reference (often times out of context) to back up what it says. It all looks good and sounds good from your perspective. But it is a false method of study. The Watchtower organization tells you what to think and what to do.  If you say that is not true and that the Watchtower Organization is God's organization on earth, then you are simply repeating what the Watchtower tells you.

The Bible alone is sufficient. But the Watchtower denies this:

"From time to time, there have arisen from among the ranks of Jehovah's people those, who, like the original Satan, have adopted an independent, faultfinding attitude...They say that it is sufficient to read the Bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home. But, strangely, through such 'Bible reading,' they have reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by Christendom's clergy were teaching 100 years ago..." The Watchtower, August 15, 1981. (Emphasis added)

What are the apostate doctrines:  Trinity? h**l? Jesus is God?  Funny thing is that, according to the Watchtower, if you study the Bible by itself, you will come to believe these things!  Could it be that apart from the selected questions, answers, scripture quotes, and direction of the Watchtower teaching, that the Bible actually does teach these "apostate doctrines"?

  7. Rather perceptive. Probably has to do with all 4 things...

  8. First and foremost because I care about their salvation!  I was in their shoes before.  I would have wanted someone to show me that I was deceived, no matter how long it took.  I'd want them to put up with me, no matter how arrogant and self-righteous I was!  Those of us who were this way, don't we have even more obligation to deal with these ones in love? (As hard as it is at times not to return the attitude!!!)  But then, sometimes, they need tough love, so long as we can remember not to hold it against them at the end of the day!

They are a passionate people and their lifestyle is not an easy one.  If they would stop serving men, and give themselves over completely to God, they would make AWESOME Christians!!!

  9. Theocratic warfare!lol

But seriously i do this cause it emphasizes my beliefs that i made the correct choice in leaving this organization. After being indoctrinated in the ways of a JW for my entire childhood it isn't easy to just step away and forget all the bull they fed me..so i study up on the real truths of the bible and use it as a shield to defend my new found truths.

I do still feel angry at the way my family abandoned me and in particular angry towards a bunch of men who state that it is God's wish to shun those who have left this organization.

  10. My motive is sport and business. I tweak the Jo Hos here and on other Q/A, discussion groups. It's a lot of fun watching my former Brothers react as expected (They call it "unity", everyone else calls it brainwashing), but it also drives a lot of traffic to my blog, www.isnrblog.com

Being a Deist and not religious, my purpose is not to "help them" find the truth because A) I don't care about them and B) I don't arrogantly claim to know what the truth is.

Give 'em heck, Kayla!! Perhaps Kayla remembers this from the Watchtower, 9/1/89 page 19:

"ONLY Jehovah’s Witnesses, those of the anointed remnant and the “great crowd,” as a united organization under the protection of the Supreme Organizer, have any Scriptural hope of surviving the impending end of this doomed system dominated by Satan the Devil."

    Arrogant.

    Ditto, Kayla

****EDIT SAM CHU***Going back to the Borg? Couldn't make it in the real world? Didn't find anything to compare to the Witnesses? Hey, that's a surprise. There is really nothing that compares to the Jo Hos.

Were you raised a Witness? I was. I feel no tug, no reason to go back as I have learned so much about their flip flops, false prophesies and edits in the literature of "the Truth". Ypou probably missed all that or believe the "one size fits all", the  Jo Ho "get out of jail free" card, new light.

What will change next, for no apparent reason except that a false prophesy by the Witties was in danger of not happening.

What was the truth about the 1914 generation, is no longer the "truth". Now, there is a differant "truth" Why? Because that generation, as defined by the Watchtower Society is all but dead. And no Armageddon!! Say it ain't so!! Oh wait, new light!!!

I'm not trying to talk you out of going back. I don't think anyone could. Besides. I don't care what you do. I am simply observing from the sidelines.

  11. I do not want to bash anyone I do it for the same reason they witness. Because now I know the truth and I want them to see that this religion is not the truth. I am uspet I let myself be decieved but I also remember what I felt like when people tried to tell me I was in the wrong religion so I do not blame them when they won't listen and get angry at me.

I feel bad for all the time and energy they put into this thinking it is for Jehovah when it is for the watchtower society...

  12. TRUTH !

I must speak the truth to my former religious family !

I do believe they will find spiritual truth eventually but, I am still told to speak.

Am I supposed to say no to God ?

I don't want to be swallowed by a fish, so off to Nineveh I go !

    Hi Ho, Hi Ho !

    : )

  13. My motivation is to help those who are blind and deaf like I was.Who trust and believe what someone who actually has taken the place of the bible in the minds and hearts of people and in effect taken the place of God.To set these captives of false doctrines that are suppose to be in the bible and yet if you read the bible you will somehow not believe the false doctrines anymore.I was told not to read the bible without my Watchtower or other literature unless I was OK with becoming an apostate.Well I guess the unadulterated word of God has accomplished a work in me and now I am an apostate. And yet the societies building says in giant letters "Read Your Bible Daily" I did that and here I am.You cannot speak one thing with one mouth but when people become witness speak another with another mouth 'Only with publications' not what the building says.anymore.Why don't they add 'But with our publications only,or you will be mislead into apostasy by the bible.Isn't that the truth that they proclaim/?Tell the people the whole truth or aren't they worthy of hearing it? This is only a few of the reasons why I want to expose them plus they are destroying thousands of lives in the name of God,

  14. Someone asks a similar question some weeks ago, so this is a paste of my answer:

As an Ex Jw, I am drawn to questions about the religion. Many questions I just read and don't respond, but some times I feel impelled to respond to others because I see many misleading answers from JW's.

JW's are always looking out for the benefit of the "organization" and in doing so they sometimes give "waterdowned" and "half-true" answers to questions.

When I see this behavior, I comment to set the record straight. I do so in order to help people who may be led into the organization under false pretenses.

I am not overly concerned with keeping people from becoming JW's, ultimately, I think God guides and leads people as he sees fit. However, I do feel that if a person wants to become a JW, they should know exactly what they are getting themselves into, and this means knowing the Good and Bad of the organization.

I think with true information they would be more likely to make a better decision about religion.

I know many of us Ex Jw's can only wish we knew before our baptism into the organization, what we know now.

It would have saved us from now being considered "outcast" because we have chosen a different path.

  15. Yeah, I'm a wittie-basher, I enjoy giving them the same flack for their organization flaws as they do to everyone else who is not a wittie....

What?  At least I'm honest about it.... LOL.

HI HO, HI HO, IT'S OFF TO BASHING I GO!

Worker, you still make me laugh...

  16. I'm a Dis fellowshipped ex Jehovah's witness.

I plan on exposing the religion by getting re instated, becoming a witness again and going out to preach the good news of Gods Kingdom again. To warn all you unbelievers and apostates that you better get out of Babylon the Great (False Religion) Wake up and learn what is really going on in this world and how soon its going to end.

Ive done everything imaginable thats wrong and I even been to some other churches! After knowing what I was taught as a witness from the Bible, everything else is childish and foolish! If you want the truth stay a witness or learn about them, it never hurts to ask a JW what they believe. You will find they are the most genuine and caring people that aren't selfish, and they will answer everything straight from the Bible. Anyway I cant wait until im back. :)

  17. For me it is because I feel sorry for the poor lost souls that are falling for the stuff the organization teaches.  If Jw's would just follow the bible then I would say good for you but they follow the organization as stated in previous questions:  they are warned against just reading the bible they need the help of the publications from the organization to understand the bible.  I for one have my own brain and can understand what I read.

  18. I was in a different cult...I dont usually name it unless asked..

guess what the true religions believe the Trinity!!!!!!!!

  19. I'm not an ex, but I am married to an ex!  I expose the beliefs so everyone can see the religion for what it truly is.  I am concerned about their salvation, but part of that involves a humbless on their part. (James 4:6)  If they aren't willing to listen, they only hurt themselves.  Plus my wife was sexually abuse as child in the cult.  Let me tell you, that is an issue that gets my blood going!
