Ex-NBAer Javaris Crittenton waives extradition rights in murder case: NBA Update

On Friday, former National Basketball Association (NBA) and Washington Wizards player Javier Crittenton waived his extradition rights in court. He appeared before Judge Upinder Karla in Superior Court in Georgia. In the proceedings,
Javaris admitted that nobody has influenced him to sign the waiver and he is voluntarily signing these papers.
Crittenton is accused of the murder of 22 year-old Julian Jones and he has been in police custody since last month. His next hearing is scheduled on September 30 in Atlanta. Crittenton’s accusations include homicide murder, felony
murder, and aggravated intent to murder. Although, no progress has been made in the case but Crittenton's attorney Brian Steel maintains that his client is innocent,
“He's innocent of the charges.” Crittenton’s attorney said, "Crittenton wants to do everything lawful because he did nothing.”
According to the police department and FBI’s initials reports, they witnessed a dark coloured sport vehicle on 19th August whose driver gunned down a woman with an assault rifle. However, the former professional basketball

claimed that was a misguided joke and they had no intentions for this act. The NBA authorities took a hard notice and suspended both players from rest of the season while Crittenton was ordered to spend a whole year in probation for illegal gun possession.
Javaris Crittenton has most recently played in 2011 for the NBA’s D-League side Dakota Wizards. Earlier in his career, he has also played for the Washington Wizards and the Los Angeles Lakers.
Before arriving in the NBA, he had a brilliant amateur career at the Georgia Tech University. He was considered as team leader and even in his first year at Georgia Tech, he played tremendously and earned great acknowledgement
form several basketball experts. His special game acclaimed him real fame when he scored his career high 29 points against the Florida State University in 2007.
Soon he made his way into the NBA when the Los Angeles Lakers selected him 19th overall in the first round of 2007 NBA draft. Later, Crittenton arrived in the Memphis Grizzlies who then traded him to the Washington Wizards.
