A few years ago my mother-in-law let her son (my ex-husband) purchase the car in her name, so that he can get cheaper insurance in FL. He has been making payments all this time. Now he is in financial troubles. He stopped making payments and refuses to return the car to his mother, so that she can sell it. The creditor keeps on calling his mother (she is senior citizen and can't afford to make a $450 payment every month). What are the options in this case? Should she call the police and tell them that her son stole the vehicle? Should she go to court? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.P.S. My ex is very pissed at his parents for supporting me on the divorce / child custody matter. That is why he is trying to make all our lives miserable.
