For Trippsightseer, it's the Military Correctional Training Centre. Military Prison in the UK (also known as the motorcycle training centre if you don't want your family to know you're in the clink!!! ; ))

Not an inmate but lived nearby and watched the prisoners on runs through Friday Woods.

Ex-inmates already know what it was like.   Personally, I thought it was a doddle.  It was one posting where you never answered back and just did as you were told.   Piece of cake if you had ever been to a Public School in the Fifties.

The hardest part for some was the restriction on smoking: only two a day and severely restricted and enforced.   One after lunch and one after tea.   Didn't affect me, a lifetime non-smoker.

I actually almost enjoyed it.
