three years ago, my ex left the state with my three month old child. I established paternity in the hospital. She left me no address or phone number. Last week i recieved a order from the child support agency. she wants support retroactive to 2005. I was told not to pay anything until the courts were involved. I want to see my child, but she lives in oregon, and i live in ohio. I just can't. do i have any rights? can i make her come back with my child? is that kidnapping? what should i do?

  1. go do some research on

    www.thelaw.com

and see what you can find out there, its free!

I do know that even if you dont pay child support you still have a right to see your child, she cant keep him or her from you leagally.

  2. Thats sad but in al i think the court should decide, get a good lawyer

  3. She left 3 years ago....and you're only worried NOW?

Who told you that you didnt have to pay child support until the court was involved?

Whjy havnt you taken legal action to see your child before now?

You may have 'missed the boat' with regards to trying to make her move back because you have left it so long.

Get your act together seek legal advice, and start paying child support. You WILL have to pay the back money you owe.

You have just as many rights as your babies mother does.

  4. I am really sorry this woman has done this to you that's really a S****y thing to do to somebody. What nerve this woman has to take your child away and then years later ask for support. If you are the father you have rights, and don't pay a dime until the courts are involved that way you can go before a judge and explain the situation.I am sure a judge would have no problem granting you visitation for your child, but i don't know exactly how they would go about it.But it is only morally right you have access to your child.I would definitely get a lawyer if i were you because you need someone on your side in this with the courts.God bless you and good luck.
