"That's the final whistle, England scrape a draw thanks to the substitutes, but in truth they were dreadful. Capello knows he cannot rely on his "stars" and that he cannot play Steven Gerrard on the left. So England learn a bit more about themselves but they must improve fast, or Croatia will wee all over them."

I feel some animosity towards the English game.

  1. You're spot on. If England bashing was an Olympic sport, they'd be handing out gold medals left, right and centre.

  2. it is very biased, england were much worse than what they are made out to be on this text commentary

  3. Notice that practically no-one is answering these, NO-ONE CAN WATCH THE d**n MATCH. Stupid FA.

  4. Everyone in Europe hates the English and England are always against them. I don't care anymore its only because we have kick their *** in something before...most likely a war.

  5. dude the yahoo commentary is from yahoo uk-eurosport.

    of course it is biased!!

  6. You see that's the problem with English, you just don't want to see the truth, when Croatia eliminated you from EUROs all that you could do and say was blaming Mclaren... but guess what, there is no coach in the world that can make a good team out of bad players, England is far from NTs like Spain, Germany etc etc.... 90% of players that are playing for England wouldn't get in the starting line-up of Croatia NT !!!

  7. For all the reasons people gave for England to lose this game, I think the English people should be pleased and encouraged with a draw against a good team.  If "a tie is like kissing your sister," as they say in American football, then this tie is like kissing an attractive sister-in-law.  Your brother might not like it, but it's worth it, and besides, he gets to do it, too.

  8. I have just borne witness to the most depressing display of international football in recent memory. Before Fabio Capello, I was at the vanguard of criticism aimed at Steve McLaren during his failed term in office as England's head coach but, hand on heart, I have seen no game worse than this evenings in the last few years. Players such as Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard and Wayne Rooney contorted out of position to the point that the more structured Czech side cut through us with simple technique and confidence. And why no Agbonlahor after a superb hat-trick on the opening day of the premiership season?

Terry gets the captaincy when Rio Ferdinand was the strongest and most successful captain last season leading Manchester United to domestic and European league victories.

However, I am not laying this abysmal display solely at Fabio's door as the players themselves should be disgusted in their efforts on the field. It was nothing short of an embarrassment, particularly when we celebrated so vehemently at scoring an unbelievably scruffy equaliser.

I hope my fears are unfounded but I am very worried for the forthcoming World Cup 2010 qualifiers...even against Andorra!

  9. Can't see much bias there. At the end of the day, if you're bad, then you're going to have to accept the criticism.

Also, they seem to be praising the subs, or am I just being biased too?

  10. spot on.................
