Question:

Exactly how level does the ground have to be to install a Kid's Creation Play Set?

I am helping a friend install a Kid's Creation play set for his kids, however there is a little less than a quarter of an inch fall. The play set is 20'x30' and is suppose to be heavy enough, that it doesn't need anchors. After we constucted on of the towers that is a 5'x5', I noticed it being out of level by about 1.5''. Also remember that there is slides coming out both sides of this set, so when you lift the tower, on slide goes down and the other comes up. So does this matter, or will it be okay to let it set on the natural fall of the land?

  1. I would suggest that you just dig out a little of the ground on the side that is to high, or if that is not an option because the ground keeps going up on that side, you can leave it alone , after all , if it is that big 20x30 and is sitting on flat , not level ground it should all work. It will obviously be on a slight tilt. You can also place a small board on the low side to bring it up. 1.5" should not affect the slide.

  2. If you do not install the whole unit level, the slides and other equipment will end up in a bind later. This puts undue stress on the connections.
