  1. Are you referring to your trousseau?

  2. Are you planning your dowry?

To what are you specifically referring?

    Edit*

Are you naked living in a jungle somewhere?  I don't think so.

Is your life suddenly changing?  Does your engagement require a new wardrobe/lifestyle...no it doesn't.  Your current clothing should be fine.

  3. You need exactly the following:

    3 bras, 3 underwear

    2 tshirts

    2 jeans

    2 nice trousers

    2 shorts

    3 dresses short length

    1 dress long length

    4 socks

3 pairs shoes (One heels, one flatties and one sandals)

EXACTLY.  No more  and no less.

All different colors if you like, but I like purples and blues myself.

  4. What oy vey means is a trousseau -- a collection of clothes you have as a married person you did not have as a single. It is much more relevant to a time when women married out of high school -- having more womanly dresses than schoolgirlish ones -- and out of college -- kind of the same thing. It can mean getting more sophisticated social clothing if you are going to be entertaining your husband`s colleagues etc.

In this day and age a husband might need better clothes to entertain his wife`s colleagues I guess in some cases.

If you did mostly wear denim and flip flops as a single woman you may want some dressier pants and heels to go out and the perfect dress.

If you and your husband will mostly be entertaining with barbecues and going to the bars and cocktail and card parties at home then you won`t need dressy social clothes.

It honestly depends on where you are in life. If you already work in a business-dress environment and you will keep working there your single clothes will be fine. If you already work in a business-casual environment your same polos and tanks and pants and flats will still work too.

If you only now got out of college and don`t think your Hollister tees and short shorts are appropriate anymore than maybe step out of the teens department and get some more sophisticated clothes.

  5. OK, assuming you have no clothes now, which you stated. I would always have enough clothes to last 8 days.  So that on the 7th day... you choose which day that will be, you wash your clothes and have the extra set to have when washing unless of course being just married you want to run around naked washing clothes with your hubby, could be interesting.  Especially during spin cycle... oops did I say that. Well good luck and have fun on your coming marriage.
