  1. My husband and I are dual military also (Army). Both of you will get BAH without dependent rates if there is no children. If you have children, then the senior rank gets BAH with dependent rate.

Time in rank doesn't matter with BAH, only basic pay. BAH is based on rank.

Hope this helped ... good luck!

  2. If you are both in the Army,

You will both get BAH at the single rate for your rank.

If you have a child, then the higher ranking one, would receive BAH at the with dependents rate.

You didn't say what rank and what zip code,

So we cannot give you exact info.

  3. if there are no children you each get BAH single.  period.  if you live in PPV housing, one will pay theirs to PPV,and the other pockets theirs.

if there are children, the senior gets BAH with dependents( which goes to PPV if applicable) and the Junior gets BAH/S.

  4. I've heard that when both are in you get the higher ranking BAH and that's it. That's what happen to my friends in the Marine Corps. I guess it could be different in the army, but in general BAH is handled the same across the board.
