I'm getting my nose pierced soon and I was all excited about it until I watched all these youtube videos of people getting pierced. Now I am NOT one who can deal with pain! And it looks like it's ridiculously painful! Does it hurt as bad as it looks?? These people were like crying! Is the pain bad enough to make you cry? And also, is there a lot of blood involved?

  1. I got my nose pierced back in November, and to be honest it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

It just felt like a really sharp pinch, and I have a very low tolerance for pain. All it did was make my eyes water a bit and make me say "ow" once. It did sting for a few hours after I had it done, but that might've also had something to do with the fact that it was VERY cold outside at the time.

There was a little bit of blood, but the piercer cleaned that off for me right away.

Just close your eyes and it'll be over with in about 10-20 seconds. Trust me, it's not as bad as it seems =].

  2. there shouldnt be any blood, maybe a tiny bit of scab will form a few mins after the piercing is done, and the pain? well, it will  feel like a quick, tight pinch, it might make ur eyes water, but then it goes away right quick.  It may swell a tiny bit, and thats normal, dont touch it! Its the best advice i can give!

  3. no blood all tears and sweat!! that's a nightmare.. its the greatest physical pain i ever endure.. been there done that and ive done it twice.

  4. Once the needle goes thru, you get this one BIG tear that comes out of your eye, but thats about it. It smarts more than it hurts..to me felt like someone punched me in the nose for the most part.  Will be very sore but its simple. Needle goes right thru, unless you have a thick nose (like me..) and it takes a little more effort. Good luck, Enjoy!

  5. No, there is not a lot of blood.  People cry because all the nerves in your face are connected.  You won't cry because of the pain, it's just a normal reaction.  It does hurt but only for a split second.
