Only one Bart comes to mind at the moment, and he certainly is no saint!

  1. St Bartholomew, the Apostle. I shared your first thought, but the Island was named long before the Simpsons premiered.

St. Bart is the patron of:

Armenia; bookbinders; butchers; cobblers; Florentine cheese merchants; Florentine salt merchants; Gambatesa, Italy; leather workers; nervous diseases; neurological diseases; plasterers; shoemakers; tanners; trappers; twitching; whiteners.

And, it would seem, nude beaches. Which is appropriate, since he was martyred by flaying--which makes him as nude as any of the Saints got.

  2. Bart Johannsen

  3. just following you around  wuf wuf

  4. Bart Simpson.

  5. Check a Lives of the Saints for St. Batholomew to learn more about him.  That's who it's named after.

I wouldn't mind visiting St. Bart's, since women go topless on beaches there, and sometimes totally nude.

  6. Saint Bartholomew
