My exams count 20% of my grade for the entire year. How do I figure out what grade I need to get to be above in 85 in the class?

  1. For every 5 points you get (on the exam) above your current average that would be how much your grade will go up by one point. To find this you just divide 100 by 20 and you get 5 so that's the point value that you need. To give you another example of how this works let's say that your final exam counted for 50% of your final grade. You would just divide 100 by 50 and that would give you 2 so for every 2 points you scored on the exam it would bring your final grade up 1 point.
