Hi..

My final marks are a 76 in english and a 63 in science. The exam was worth 30% of my mark. I didnt get to see my exam tho. What percent out of the 30 did i get on both exams??

    For this formula, y represents your grade before you took the final in decimal form. If you had an 88% in a class before the final, plug in 0.88 as the Y-value. X represents your grade on the final in decimal form, and is what we're solving for. The equation is:

    0.76 = 0.3*x +0.7*y

    and 0.63 = 0.3*x +0.7*y
