  1. What weather is associated with high and low pressure?

rainy weather is associated with low-pressure systems and clear weather is associated with high-pressure systems. The answer has to do with the fact that air in low-pressure systems weighs relatively less than air in a high-pressure system. Another way to look at it: Air molecules in low-pressure systems are farther apart than molecules in high-pressure systems. Therefore, air in lows is shoved upward by the surrounding heavier, more dense high. In other words, the air in a low-pressure system rises to altitudes where the temperature may be below its dew point. Also, at these higher altitudes, the air pressure is less, so the rising parcel of air cools even more by expansion. That’s where and why clouds form and precipitation may develop.

On the other hand, air molecules in a high-pressure system are closer together, more dense, and the air mass sinks to the bottom where it is compressed even more. This causes the air temperature to rise, usually well above its dew point, so no clouds form.

What was the Pollution Prevention Act designed for? Pollution prevention (P2) is reducing or eliminating waste at the source by modifying production processes, promoting the use of non-toxic or less-toxic substances, implementing conservation techniques, and re-using materials rather than putting them into the waste stream. Since Pollution Prevention is a key policy in national environmental protection activities, a number of Partnership Programs and other EPA initiatives utilize this approach in their work. Basic information about pollution prevention.

What are 2 ways that New York City has been able to overcome population problems? Public transportation to keep more cars off of the road for less road congestion, building up (sky scrapers) keeps most of the people off the streets.  Call me sick but the crime rate is another population control strategy (don't put this on your test lol).
