can anyone give me an Example of high involvement purchase decision

  1. Usually high involvement purchase decisions are also high cost.  So a couple examples would be:

    Purchasing a new car - this is an expensive decision, you would normally do some research, check out different makes and models before you buy.

    Buying a boat - same as above.

    Buying a house - you normally do not buy the first house you see.  You would do some research, assess the value, look at other houses and prices in the area.

    Etc.

    Low involvement is more of an impulse buy (the chocolate bar at the checkout counter of your grocery store); high involvement is doing research and making a real choice/decision.
