I like Norton 360, which I am using now, but I also like free AVG which Martinow suggested, as well as Zone Alarm...

Most are quite good, but the main thing is to make sure you use something. It is far too big a risk to take by not using one. There aren't just the viruses you find or suspect, but also those you don't know anything about, such as Trojans or worms... all kinds of malware. Just be sure you do install something and keep it up to date, though if you use AVG free edition, it is all done for you.
