There are 7 forms of energy:

potential, kinetic, chemical, thermal, mechanical, electromagnetic and nuclear.

Mechanical energy example would be differential pressure.

An example would b a nuclear power generating station, where the following energy transformations take place:

nuclear > thermal > mechanical > kinetic > electromagnetic

there are only two types of energy.

energy due to movement (kinetic)

energy due to position (potential)

all energy falls into these two categories, just put that it's quicker I'm sure the teacher will fail you but just tell him/her that physics at GCSE level is all lies.
