Putin-the democratic process he professes to follow is no longer valid.  His Georgian invasion equals Stalin's beginning invasions after he became a dictator.

It's gotta be Geoge W. Bush.  Since everything he's done has been a mistake over the last 8 years I'm sure at least some of those mistakes had been made by others previously.

well, this isnt exactly recent, but i would refer to the great depression that started in 1929.

first, we had president calvin coolidge, who believed the best government was the smallest government. he believed that letting things be was the best way to go. he didnt want anything interfering with the economy and that hit us hard.

herbert hoover came in and followed the same policies. yes, he had better solutions, but he couldnt implement them because coolidge had ruined the country. so hoover kept government small, repeating the same mistake, and in the end, causing the depression.

That's in the news now.

Not to mention his wife was enduring cancer treatment.
