Hi,

I have a data validation for a cell. I did a list and just typed in the source: "Primary" and "Secondary". I would like to have a blank option as well. So when the user clicks on the list pull down arrow, it will show : "Primary", "Secondary", and a blank spot that blanks the cell if chosen.

Thanks for any help!

  1. in your "formula" bar of the list just enter it as

    Primary, Secondary,

note the ", " after the "secondary".  excel will then show 3 choices in your list.  The last one being the blank.  When chosen, the cell turns to a blank
