should this be hard to record as a macro?

keystrokes:

cntrl + end

home

right arrow

end, up arrow

hold shift, end, up arrow

up arrow

left arrow

cntrl+x

cntrl+home

i seem to get errors whenever i try to play this back after recording it into a macro. maybe i'm making a mistake with the relative/absolute reference button? i thought the keystrokes would automatically make it relative.

what i'm trying to do with this macro is the following: i have 11 sets of data in the (x,y) format. the sets of data are all stacked up in 2 columns. the x data is generic and i want the 11 sets of y data moved out of the 1 column and put into 11 columns next to the 1 column of x data. i want the macro to go down to the last data point, highlight the last data set, cut it, and then move the cursor back to A1.

i'm doing the same exact keystrokes over and over, but i can't seem to record this successfully.

thanks.

  1. Instead of arrows, use your mouse to select the cells. Might clear up some inconsistency. Can you post the error that you are getting if any? What actually happens?
