Excel money format question?

Anytime I want to format money figures, I have to change the format in Format Cells option and change the dollar sign to "English (United States) " to get it the way that I want it. How can I set it so that anytime I click the dollar sign on the tool, it automatically changes the dollar sign format to English (United States)?

it's determined by your system regional settings.  To change it go to your control panel and select Regional & Language Options and change the setting.   Keep in mind, this changes the settings for all programs not just Excel.  There's no way to change it for just excel...it's simply going to use your regional settings.  

If changing your regional settings in not what you want to do then you can create a macro and assign it to a button
