Excelebration likely to be dominant in Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Sponsored By Qipco (Group 1)
Excelebration is the outright favourite to succeed in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes Sponsored By Qipco (British Champions Mile) (Group 1) at Ascot in England on Saturday, October 20, 2012. He is considered to be one of the best in the business and will definitely
attract the most number of bets today.
The young runner has maintained a fantastic winning percentage and is highly competitive regardless of what the track conditions are. He has had a few solid brawls with one of the all time greatest stallion, Frankel. However the latter has never been beaten
in his career.
Despite that, Excelebration will be full of confidence in this race, as his main rival is not a part of it. He has been given a general starting price of 10 to 11 and will be eying the cash prize of £567,100 in the end.
The A. P. O'Brien’s trainee started off his career in 2010 and was unable to make a strong impression in his first ever outing. That was the only time in his career, when he failed to finish amongst the top-three.
Since then, the four-year-old colt has been competitive in every race he took part in. He has earned seven victories out of 13 attempts whereas finished as a runner up four times. Moreover, he has also secured the third spot once.
Surprisingly, Exceed And Excel’s son has never won a race at Ascot. He has participated in three contests at this venue, but luck has never favoured him. He will be looking to break the shackles this time around under, J. P. O'Brien.
On the other hand, Cityscape is one runner who can cause a few problems for the race favourite. Both have competed against each other in the past with Excelebration stealing the show back then. However, things could be different today and the punters should
consider gambling a bit in the end.
Cityscape does not have a high winning percentage, but his overall performances have not been bad. He has won six times out of 21 attempts, which is not a bad record.
The Queen has also tried her luck in the race, sending Carlton House into the competition. The gamble might pay off for her in the end, but things do not look too good for her challenger.
