  1. Bombay Bicycle in Balham is good. There's a takeaway/delivery in Tooting Bec and a restaurant in Balham/Clapham South.  There's loads of fab indian restaurants in Tooting.  I would strongly recommend Kastoori, which is vegetarian and amazing, particularly the chilli banana. check out http://tootingcurryclub.blogspot.com/200... for revews of more restaurants in Tooting

  2. Monty's Tandoori Restaurant (Nepalese)

There are 4 Monty's in Ealing but I think the best is at 224 South Ealing Road, W5.

In the 1970s three chefs left the Ealing Tandoori to go it alone, and over the years they set up Monty's restaurants in South Ealing Road, Northfields Avenue, and at the Mall. They may have all used the same name, but they are different businesses.

  3. Veeraswamy is also good but it's only just south west. It's just off Regent St, Piccadilly Circus end. It's in sw1 though.

  4. 3 monkeys herne hill

    chutney mary, kings road

  5. The best one in South West London that I have come across is Tangawizi in Richmond, just over Richmond bridge

  6. Chutney Marys, Kings road Chelsea. I have been and it was very good. A little upmarket though. I had Piers Morgan on the next table to me. I was a bit put out because he didn't recognise me.

  7. I live in Clapham and always get mine from Lavender Spice on Lavender Hill. Really yummy and really reasonable. Also Sopna in Hampton Hill high street is good.

  8. Mirch Masala in Norbury is fantastic, it was voted one of the top 50 restaurants in the UK.

  9. I hear the the Bombay Bicycle in Balham is very good, many people agree. I like The Great Indian in lower Sloane St, near Sloane Sq.
