I know its illegal to ride bikes on the pavement in the UK but is there any exeptions? If you need to know I'm 14 and I live in stoke-on-trent staffordshire.

  1. Wow!

How about all of the USA, move here!

Bikes are considered a vehicle and allowed to share roads (except the Highways).  Most roads have a white line near the edge to keep cars from driving off onto the shoulder.  This also marks the safe walking and biking area.  Biking is really big in the good weather here.

A sad note....cars do not always see the bikes very well and some bikers have been hit this spring.   The smart ( and long lived ) have bright outfits, helmets, lights and flags so drivers see them.

    Happy pedaling!
