Question:

Excersicing everyday... is that OK?

I've been going to the gym for two months now and last week started running and I enjoy it sooooo much!! much more than the gym... it feels soo great. I ve gone 6 days in a row and considering going today (sunday) aswell, thats the only thing that is in my mind, i dont know if am becoming adicted to running... last night (saturday) i rejected my friends invitation to go out clubbing as usual (which is very rare in me)... if people can drink and smoke everyday... is it ok if i go jogging everyday aswell? i dont do too much, i do only 2 km per day as I am a beginner. i complete my 2 k just after 30 min of powerwalking. My plan is to increase 1/2 km every week in order to build up my condition.

  1. seriously, good 4 u! its not a bad thing at all!!! i do the same thing. since i am a gymnast, i workout everyday for 4 hours then i come home and a couple of hours later, i go running. yes, i am addicted also. its not a bad thing. at least ur taking care of urself. keep at it!!!


  2. I would say this is probably not a good idea. Your body needs at least one day off to recuperate I recommend running everyday except for sunday. Running is good for you but if you push hard everyday just think about in 3 months how worn out you will be especially with increasing 1/2 k a week. That's a lot of running with no break.

  4. Sounds like you are doing great, just keep it up. Make sure you have good shoes for running and run on softer surfaces.

    I was training for 13 sessions a week when I was marathon training and the top runners sometimes do 3 sessions a day.

    Run how you feel, If tired then have a rest day or cut back the length of you run.

    It is certainly better than smoking!!
