Excersie to make your legs move quicker/jump higher?

I love basketball and I want to make my legs to move around the floor more faster and quicker. I also want to jump higher for layups and fadeaways. Just simply running didn't work for me, plz tell me what kind of other excercises I can do to effectively boost my legs

  1. Start a leg strength program with squats and deadlifts. Developing strength is the first step toward a higher vertical and better overall athleticism.   2. get some flubber in your shoes!!!

  3. Work out your calves and quadriceps.

    A friend of mine simply did drills and improved his vertical leap.

    -Jumproping

    -Running from half court to end line or end line to other end line.
