ive been working out for about 3 weeks now, and i was just thinking. so i burn like 300 something calories running everyday. if i were to eat 300 less calories than i normally do, without exersizing, would i loose the same amount of weight as eatting the same amount and running off those 300 calories.

basically, im wondering if running/working out speeds up your metabloism...

(btw im not going to try the eatting 300 less calories thing, because im running to get in shape and be more healty not just lose weight. i was just curious...)

thanks :))

  1. Yes exercise speeds up the metabolism.

Plus when you exercise you burn those calories while exercising then your body will use energy to repair itself and make itself better so that you are fitter.

Exercise is the way, it makes you feel better than dieting and gives you better results. Although it is good to combine exercise with a healthy balanced diet. Regular meals help too.
