Question:

Excess lint on inside of new socks, is there a way to prevent lint from being tracked all over my house?

My husband got new black socks. When he removes them carelessly, he walks around the house and black lint that is stuck on his feet goes everywhere. My baby crawls in it and ends up eating it and I am stuck cleaning it up.

Is there anything I can soak them in (Vinegar or anything?) that will help the lint stop falling off and stop clinging to his feet during the day? I'm frustrated!

  1. Why don't you try PICKING the lint out your socks? You don't soak socks in anything except a washer! You should try buying socks withOUT lint in them.

  2. when you wash the socks turn them inside out ,new fabric tend to create more lint, after a few wash it will disappear.

In that case wash all the socks in a separate load, Let me guess are these socks Happy Foot? If they are that's  what they do! But they are comfort to the feet and live up to their names!

I wash them by doing a small load .

Tell your husband to keep the socks on or wear slippers around the house, especially if your baby is crawling on the carpet.

  3. I have a pair of black track pants like that. I find drying them in the clothes dryer gets rid of the lint easily.make sure they are inside out when drying

  4. That's a tricky one LOL.

The only thing I can think of is to buy one of those lint roller things and after washing them inside out, roll like there is no tomorrow!!! Sorry, that's all i could come up with.... not heard of any magical remedies for it I'm afraid.

Unless your hubby will start wearing tights (pantyhose)? Or go barefoot.... or carries a dustbuster around the house?

I just thought of something - your husband could wash his feet after taking of his socks.....SORTED!!! :-)
