is it the same for protein???

  1. When I worked out,, I ate 2 to 2.5grams of protein per pound of body weight to gain muscle... some people even go to 3 to 4 grams of protien per pound of bodyweight when they are on steroids... So if I was 200 pounds I would consume 350-400 grams per day.. Drink plenty of water and take a good multi vitamin.

    And like you said dont take it all from red meat,,, even if its lean because it does have a higher fat content than chicken or turkey.

    If you dont work out..the minimum you want to have is .08 grams per pound of body weight...

    Thats for the minimum requirments
