Excessive PDA at amusement parks, why?

Every time I'm at Six Flags waiting in line for a ride (ANY ride) you see couples all over each other. It reminds of being back in high school when people used to make-out all in the hallways and in front of your locker. Who wants to see that? Is it just me or does anyone else ever experience being in the presence of people and their excessive PDA (whether standing in line at an amusement park ride or wherever)?

It's one thing when it's 15 ft. away, but when it's the people standing in front of you it's like HOLY H*LL! Get a room! Of course I would never say that to their face. XD

What is the etiquette on telling someone you do not appreciate their excessive PDA in your face anyway? There's got to be a more tactful way of doing that....

just ignore it or move away from them. i just got back from an amusement park and saw it but i politely ignored it.
