Exchange Rate in Puerto Vallarta - How Much is A Beer?

Question

I am traveling with my wife to Mexico very soon. We just exchanged $50 for about 540 pesos... I was wondering if items in PV, such as beer, are similar to prices in the US or if they are cheeaper... For example, here a beer may be $3, so in Mexico is it 30 pesos or is it 3 pesos? Just trying to get a feel for the local environment...

$1.00 US =10.8139 peso

Think of it this way every peso is worth a little more than a dime (almost 11 cents) when you exchange.

Average is 10.50 pesos to a dollar. most beers are between 3 pesos and 8 depends where you buy it.

It´s 30 pesos. Exchange rate its around $10.80 to $11.00 pesos per dollar since the last 1-2 years so dont worry about it.

Depending on the brand of beer, price may vary.

But a six pack of beer is  around $5-7$ US dollars (about $60-$75 pesos) . Imported beers from USA are a little more expensive than domestics.

Groceries in Mexico are cheaper than USA.

Usually, dinner in restaurants is also very cheap. You can spend  $20 to $30 dollar in an excellent dinner for two in a first class restaurant. i hope this info can help you. I wish u luck!

It's pretty easy to just use the $1 USA = 10 Pesos. The price of beer varies a lot, just like here. Two of my favorite beer stops, are the Cheeky Monkey, downtown on the Malecon, which has 10 peso beers and margaritas all day. The Cafe Roma, near the flea market and the Cuale River has 15 peso beers, coldest in town. Both places have good food, and Senor Fox, at the Cafe Roma, always turns the day into a party. There are many places, especially on Play de los Muertos beach, that have a 2for1, or a bucket of beer, special.
