Exciting contest on the cards in Racing Plus, Buy It Daily For Cheltenham Novices´ Hurdle at Ayr
Racing Plus, Buy It Daily For Cheltenham Novices´ Hurdle is one of the most important races at Ayr on Saturday, March 10, 2012. According to the program, the 2-mile event will commence at 14:15 (GMT).
The contestants are h**l-bent to deliver their best in order to do well on a wet ground at Ayr. The class-4 meeting holds a prize of £3,249. Among the entries are: Abbey Garth, Eurohunter, Hidden Future, White Fusion, Lucky Sunny and Kirkaig.
Abbey Garth will look to show an improved performance this time around. The five-year-old made his debut in style, winning his first race convincingly on January 1.
The novice beat George Fernbeck by a neck distance to win Scottish Racing Standard Open National Hunt Flat Race at Musselburgh.
After a fantastic debut, the bookies were rating him quite highly for his subsequent race. However, Nicky Richards’ trainee failed to make an impact, finishing fifth in Mirror Punters Club E B F "National Hunt" Novices' Hurdle (Qualifier) at Doncaster on
February 22.
He will have to work better today in an attempt to put his journey on the right track.
Another dangerous contender is Eurohunter. With a lot of expectations on his shoulders, the eight-year-old made his seasonal return on February 25.
Yet, he did not perform to his reputation in the Betfred When Both Teams Score Handicap Hurdle at Newcastle. At the final moments, the rider, Brian Harding, had to pull up, since the runner was struggling.
Despite a recent poor performance, one cannot take anything away from him. The William Amos-trained is hungry for success and will try his best for a positive result.
Hidden Future will be out, pursuing his first triumph. Although the six-year-old has been doing a fine job since his debut in March last year, victories seem to have dried up for C. A. McBratney’s trainee.
He made his last outing on February 4, securing third place in the Corporate Hospitality At Fairyhouse Maiden Hurdle.
Conclusion
Abbey Garth and Eurohunter will come up with an all out effort in a bid to show an improved performance.
On the other hand, Hidden Future is also in search of his maiden success. Today’s race looks an ideal stage for him to grab the glory.
