Exciting introduction to a grade 8 music lesson?

I am looking for an interesting and exciting way to engage students at the beginning of a music lesson. I am on prac am being told i need to work on my introductions. The students are learning to play rhythm and lead guitar. I don't play guitar very well but can play piano. Any ideas? It does't need to relate to guitar but it would be helpful if it did.

You can begin with a review of the last lesson by asking questions.  Then you can have a simple "hook" for the new lesson.  It can be simple as a question, a photo, something that focuses students' attention to the lesson's objective and connect with their interests of their lives.  Tell the students what they will be doing today and how they will do it.  Maybe this will improve your initial instruction if you have not been using any of these ideas.
