  1. Well..besides the obvious stuff...I'd say..go to this one corner where they have the two "claimed" largest Gelato bars..they have over like 100+ flavors each..that was pretty cool.

  2. Call in advance and get reservations to the Borghese Museum.

Next to it in Borghese park you can rent little row boats. Take some wine and cheese and hang out and people watch. Walk around the park, two days of the week there are vendors.

There is a grocery store in the underground when you go to use the underground after the Spagna termini station. You go towards Vittorio Veneto (this will make sense when you are using the subway)

The price of food and drinks is comparable to US prices. Go early for bread they run out fast.

Go to San Goivanni in Laterano, it is actually where the popes lived before Vatican city. Not well known and sometimes the pope is there on Tuesdays.

There is also a market to the right, under the bridge on Thursdays. Purses, clothes, everything you can think of really.

    Really great restarurant:

    La bruschetta e

    Via Sardegna 39/41

    00187 Roma

    Tel. 06 42013721

This is off Via Vittorio Venetto also.

Nightlife is happening on Via Vittorio Venetto. Lots of fun, two bars where you sit outside on sofas and hang out, dancing inside.

Avoid the bar that says "Piano Bar" thats not what they are selling....

If you do the Spanish Steps the wine bar to the right half way up is pretty fun.

Tons of art for sale for cheap the last three days of the week on Piazza Navona.

Also, little know fact is you qualify for a sales tax refund in Rome. The Piazz di Spagna is open from 9:30 to 7:30 Monday through Saturday. Phone number is 800.55.12.12

    Taxis: 063570, 065551

    Roadside Emergency Service is 113

    Police Emergency is 112

We did the mo-ped tour too, that was actually really fun.

Its a walking city so wear comfortable shoes!!!

  3. Check the english section of the RomaCe.  It is a weekly paper that comes out every Thursday has a list of lots of things to do and events.  See link....you can print out the english section before you leave on your trip.  Enjoy....I did :-)
