Exciting winter destination in Europe?

We have some wedding money to spend on a small getaway in Europe and are wondering where might be a great place to go around the beginning of December? Could you please give a reason and possibly what to do there? Thanks

Cesky Krumlov in the Czech Republic.

Prague has a great Christmas market and all the attractions that make it a great tourist destination any time of the year. You can get to Cesky Krumlov that someone else suggested as a day trip from Prague. The castle in Prague is worth most of a day in itself. Try the honey wine and the trdelnik.

Copenhagen is another great place. Tivoli is open during the season and has another great Christmas market and good animations. There are lots of castles that are accessible in and around Copenhagen as well as shopping, shows, and museums.

We went to Poland for Christmas - it was so pretty, but VERY cold. Two pairs of gloves! lol

You can go sledging - that was quite scary, as the park we went to had way madder hills than round here - and the snow as sooo deep.
