Question

Who is your top 3 Motorbike racers from the past few years? Mine would be

1) Richard Britton

2) Darran Lindsey

3) Johnny Rea

And Im not biased because Im from Northern Ireland lol :)

Richard and Darran were amazing riders with fantastic personalities and are a big loss to the Road Racing community (along with all the other greats). Johnny Rea is a great talent and I think he will be one to watch in the next few years.

Niall Mackenzie

Mike Hailwood was just brilliant - he would ride thumping great four strokes, jump off them, straight on to a small two stroke and go right back out, winning on both. He was just natural talent and never lost his love of what bike racing was all about.

Joey Dunlop - well what can you say really, truly someone very special and again he never let it go to his head.

Niall Mackenzie - he never got the credit he deserved for keeping Britain's hand in at GP level for many years. He rode bikes that other 'stars' of the time said were to wild. One of the few to ride for all three of the j*p factories participating in GP at that time. If only he could have made better starts then he would have been even more successful. I watched him club race at Knockhill and then in GP's aound the world, plus met him a number of times and what a real nice bloke.

Doohan, Rainey, Schwantz. All diferent riding styles.  All great to watch. Especially if Schwantz kept it rubber side down.

I know he was from more than a few years ago but you cannot ignore the talent that was Joey Dunlop.  Your not biased Northern Ireland seem to produce the best road racing riders.

Richard and Darren were good but not in the same class as Joey or Steve and Jonathan is hopefully going to be a champion one day and be as good.
