  1. I'd say the dark ages for poor standard of living. Everywhere there were warlords fighting and 90% of the population were no better off than slaves.

For socio-political corruption, I'd pin point the renaissance.

Why? You have the Pope acting retarded back then and the Inquisition killing people so they can claim their property.

Immorality goes to probably the Roman/Greek times.

  2. that is really difficult to say.  the times of the black plague made europe bad, but in many of the bad times for europe, many asian empires flourished, and vice versa.  i really don't think there has ever been a "worst" era, because each has its ups and downs.

  3. Dark Ages.  Things went bad once religion started running amok and s******g up everything.... and it's happening again. I thought people were supposed to learn history for a reason

  4. 535-550 AD. The as yet unexplained event of 535 AD, possibly a megavolcano eruption in Indonesia, cooled the world for 15 years and basically collapsed every civilization on Earth, including ushering in the Dark Ages in Europe. So much dust was thrown into the upper atmosphere that for the first year the sun at noon cast no shadow it was so dim, and no stars could be seen at night!

  6. 1300s where half the population of the world was killed by the Black Plague.
