Exclusive right to sell a particular product??

There's this new product who has just been introduced in the UK market...I know the company selling it, but my question is how do I get exclusive right to sell this particular product in a different country where it hasn't reached it shores yet??? Is there a legal contract involved between you and the manufacturer?? what kind of paperworks are involved in binding this sole representation??

A contract should handle this sort of issue - it's all in the wordings, and you probably have to give them a pitch about how much you think you can sell for them.  The contract will probably have an expiry date as well, after which they no longer have to deal with you exclusively.
