Excuses to talk/IM a guy?

Im kind of talking to this guy over aim. we used to kind of have a thing, so its a little bit awkward when we talk....sometimes its normal i guess. Anyway, what are excuses i could use to IM him now, and then talk to him when school starts. thanks so much!

Ask him how he is doing? Find out his interest and hobbies. And if he is not replying to you, you know either he's too busy or not interested in you. Be natural, I'm pretty sure he can tell if you are trying to make up things to say to him intentionally, at least I can tell. If it feels he doesn't feel like talking, leave him alone and give him a break, you don't want to seem annoying.

Just ask how he is doing and stuff.

"Did you see this movie...?"

"What classes did you get"

"Wanna hang out with some friends"

um... be like wuts up. wait for reply. then talk about school or something. but dont have an hour long conversation on the first chat. boring when girls do that and you dont really have much to talk about.

then talk more, see if he starts a convo another day then you know you're in luck. then talk in person and boom.

hmm... i use this trick and it worked..

IM him saying / start with.. like  " hi, im checking my mails and offline messages, i saw youre online..so how are you?"

.." felt like years since the last time we talked...what keeps you busy this days?"

open a topic lets say school..

so school will start sooner than we will be expecting, do have any plans when school starts?"

"what do you think if we hang out when school started, im sure we have a lot of fun things to talk about "

then always use a smiley....:D
