Executor of a will?

hello,My father passed away,2 months ago, leaving some property and savings,I am to get 50% of the total estate,and the 2 other beneficiaries are to get 25% each,also I am the Executor of his will,the problem is that the 2 beneficiaries are persecuting me to dish out my dads savings(there full 25% each)but as I try telling them,some savings needs to be kept in the bank for the upkeep of the house until it is sold,could anyone advise me about this please,kind regards.

  1. Sorry for your loss.

    If you google executor duties you will see that managing the estate, taking care of taxes, and paying debts comes before distributing the assets. Beneficiaries can get partial distribution before the close of the estate but, it is your job to make sure there are enough funds to do the other duties. If you distribute too much too early it is your job to make good. If you can not get the money back from the beneficiaries, guess who pays?

    By the way, keep really good records of where every dollar and other asset goes.
